Waffle Pattern Summer Kendo Dogi

The Waffle style dogi is widely worn around Japan to help beat the summer heat. The specific "waffle" style of the fabric allows for less contact with skin while also allowing for excellent air flow, keeping the wearer cool. Unlike many polyester dogi, this 100% cotton dogi also absorbs sweat, keeping the dojo floor as dry as possible. 

As this dogi is Aizome dyed, please expect the dye to bleed during initial use. As this is a cotton garment, 1-3% shrinkage is expected. We recommend a few cold water hand-washes and air dries prior to use to help keep bleeding to a minimum.
