Order a bespoke bogu bag that has been hand-made from scratch using the beautiful silk brocade from Kyoto's Nishijin district. Long regarded as the heart of traditional Japanese culture, Kyoto's Nishijin district is still an active and vibrant quarter housing some of Japan's finest weavers and fabric makers.

Silk brocade

Our Heian Tailors select their personal favorite silk brocades from local weavers and can create a beautiful bogu bag just for you. The bag is made in a variation of the classic Boston bag design. Two handles are sewn firmly on either side of the opening and a delicate lining is placed inside the bag to protect your bogu.
