Minosaka Toppei Koshirae Iaito

Minosaka's Toppei Koshirae is based on the swords popular during the Bakumatsu period - the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It is distinguished by its prominent and large metal cap at the end of the saya, known as an o-jiri.

The fittings are made of brass and feature a simple and elegant nawa theme with a plain rounded pommel. The tsuka-ito are wrapped in the ikkan-maki style with the menuki centrally located. Made in Gifu Prefecture at the Minosaka workshop, this iaito is great for practitioners looking for something distinctive, but understated.
